We have this one rule.
No phones in the bedroom.
It started out as an experiment, but we’ve managed to stick with it for several months.
I go to sleep sooner at night and don’t stay in bed all morning feeling the need to check everything. Oh, and we have more time to talk and stuff.
What do you use for wake-up alarms?
A physical alarm clock. This one happens to be hooked up to an old iPod mini so music plays.

That’s a great rule. About a week ago I started plugging my phone in across the room from the bed (I still use it as an alarm) and I already see a difference. I love the idea of banning it altogether.
