I worked on designing and implementing a new editing interface on WordPress.com and my favorite feature is the fullscreen mode. I redesigned it to be as clean and zen-like as possible. I love using it and hope you do too.
Happy writing.

The first thing I did when I got my job at Automattic was to design a WordPress theme I always wanted, but couldn’t find. Its a single column theme that is super flexible. I’ve been using it on this site for well over a year and I’ve changed the font, color scheme, and background photo.
Check out the announcement post and this featured post over on the WordPress.com blog.
My sister Carole is using it on her blog as do over a quarter of a million others. Its available for both your self hosted WordPress and WordPress.com site.

We recently launched embeddable timelines, which allows you to insert a nice list of recent postings on your site.
I had a lot of fun styling this one and really like how it came out. You can choose between two themes, depending on what you think will look best on your site.
[wptimeline url=”http://en.blog.wordpress.com” showgravatars=”true” width=”450″]

Add one to your WordPress site by visiting the timeline creation tool.

When you set up a WordPress site, you can choose whether or not you would like your readers to have the option to share your posts. You can select which ones to display in a few different styles. I designed a colorful new set that was released today.

I have a couple logo designs in the works, one for an antique car dealer, the other for a repair shop. Its always nice to take a break from the browser and get back into Illustrator.

Brittny Badger and I had an extra skateboard laying around that we never use so we decided to gesso the deck and paint it up!

Sappho, spelled (in the dialect spoken by the poet) Psappho, (born c. 610, Lesbos, Greece — died c. 570 BCE). A lyric poet greatly admired in all ages for the beauty of her writing style.
Her language contains elements from Aeolic vernacular and poetic tradition, with traces of epic vocabulary familiar to readers of Homer. She has the ability to judge critically her own ecstasies and grief, and her emotions lose nothing of their force by being recollected in tranquillity.
